As 2025 comes to a close, we would like to take a moment to reflect and say thank you! From raising more scholarship funds than ever-before to launching new events through growing partnerships, this year has been filled with important milestones we hope will have a lasting impact.
None of this would be possible without your support. To see what your donations fund and other highlights from both the Friends of Chabot and Chabot Grant Development Office, check-out the 2025 Annual Report. |

“These meals make my college life better by saving money, reducing stress, and giving me more time to focus on my studies.” - Chabot Student |
| This Giving Tuesday, December 2nd, help support the Friends of Chabot's featured campaign: Addressing Food Insecurity with World Food Movement.
Under the Student Equity Office, the Gladiator Resource Hub is partnering with the World Food Movement (WFM), a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting community colleges by providing free, hot, vegetarian meals for students in need.
The team served 1,200 nutritious, freshly prepared meals at Chabot in just the initial month of service and strives to scale-up in the future months based on needs of the students and availability. |
Donate today! Just $10 pays for a prepared meal. Consider making a recurring contribution to help ensure no Gladiator goes hungry and every student has the foundation to succeed. |

| Eleventh Annual Gala Raises Funds for University Tours |
Did you know, the Friends of Chabot College Board of Directors launched a campaign to fund four-year university tours? Introduced at this year's Annual Gala, college tours are intended to help Chabot students open new doors. |
Many Chabot students have never set foot on a university campus. Seeing a university in-person can flip the switch from being uncertain about transferring to a four-year university to driven to succeed. Tours include meeting transfer counselors; walking the quads; exploring lecture halls, labs, libraries, and dorms; building confidence; and envisioning transfer dreams becoming a reality.
We are proud to share that the Eleventh Annual Gala raised over $10,500 for campus tours to four-year universities. Interested in supporting this new endeavor?

A huge thank you to the Eleventh Annual Gala Sponsors! Your support opens doors and fuels futures through college tours. |

English Language Learner (ELL) College and Career Day |
On November 6, Chabot College, partnering with the Eden Area Regional Occupational Program (EAROP), hosted a pilot College and Career Day designed specifically for English Language Learners (ELLs) from our feeder high schools. With strong support from our four feeder districts, 162 students attended to explore Chabot College and our career pathways.
Students and chaperones learned about community college and the ESL program, heard the experiences of two current ESL students, and rotated through small-group sessions focused on career programs aligned with EAROP pathways in Business/Entrepreneurship, Healthcare, and Early Childhood Education/Teacher Preparation.
For the majority of participants, this was their first experience visiting a college campus, and chaperones expressed appreciation for focusing on this student population who have distinct needs and challenges. |
